Vsevolod Maksymovych 🇺🇦

The nickname of Vsevolod Maksymovych (1894–1914) was ‘Ukrainian Beardsley’. Like Beardsley, Maksymovych was a prodigy. At 19, he produced paintings that shared the period’s preoccupations with exoticism, mysticism, and sexuality. Many of his works connect back to himself in a form of narcissism, where his display of beautiful men and women hold impressions of the painter himself.
